Andrew N. Carter FRICS
Following a brief spell with a local developer and 10 years with Weatheralls, Andy formed the agency practice of Carter & Co Commercial in 1983 as a sole practitioner. The business expanded significantly merging with Towlers on the 1st October 2008. Formerly a founding partner with architect and development consultants Kilmartin Plowman he was elected a Fellow of the RICS. in 1976.
David P. Priestley FRICS
David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984, joined Towlers in 1988, and became a partner in 1990. Following his move to Towlers he continued to build his Property Management client portfolio, and in early 1990's concentrated entirely on property management.
Richard L. Fraser BSc (Hons), MRICS
Richard joined Carter & Co Commercial in 1985 to deal with all aspects of office and industrial agency. In 1989 he started concentrating his efforts on office instructions and now specialises in office agency whilst also providing advice on professional valuation matters relating to office properties. His clients include UK Property Investment Funds, local and national property companies and developers and private individuals.
C. David Towler BSc, FRICS
David joined Towlers in 1983 having previously worked for British Rail Property Board in York. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982 and became a Partner in 1990. He specialises in Investment and Retail Agency work.
Ian Greenwood DipSurv
Ian joined Carter & Co Commercial in 1989 becoming a partner in 2000. He specialises in the industrial and warehousing markets and acts on a wide variety of associated projects for clients ranging from private individuals, to major UK property developers, UK property investment funds and property companies both local and national.
Tim J. Towler BA, MRICS
As a third generation 'Towler' within the firm, he initially assisted his father, the then Senior Partner, who ran the expanding Management Department. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1987, and became a Partner on 1st January 1994.
Tim M. Rhodes
Tim joined Towlers as a Partner in September 2002, having spent the previous 17 years with Eddisons in Bradford. He specialises in the industrial and office sectors and acts on behalf of a wide range of clients from private individuals to major property developers and occupiers.
Matthew R. Faulkes BSc (Hons), MRICS
Matthew joined Towlers in 1992 and became a Partner of the firm in 2003. Matthew's original role at Towlers was working in the Residential Management Department. Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000, Matthew's post qualification experience has been within Commercial Property Management.
Martin J. Butterworth MA, FRICS, FCI Arb
Martin entered the surveying profession in 1977 working for Weatherall Hollis and Gale. He joined Carter & Co in 1992 following a 10 year spell as Director and Managing Director of Colliers Stewart Newis. Martin specialises in contested valuations of commercial property including rent reviews, lease renewals, compulsory purchase and dilapidations. He is an experienced arbitrator and independent expert in all types of valuation disputes and acts regularly as an expert witness in court and tribunal proceedings. He is a Fellow of the RICS and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
